ACT Ambulance Service (ACTAS) and ACT Fire & Rescue (ACTF&R) are officially operating out of their newest emergency services station in Acton.
Construction of the station was completed in late June, and over the past month, crews have been settling in and familiarising themselves with the new facilities - an essential step to ensure the station supports staff effectively in their day-to-day operations.
After a month of moving in, both services started working out of the station in late July with ACTF&R responding to 245 jobs and ACTAS responding to approximately 600 jobs from the new location.
The community is invited to visit the new station and get an insight into how it services the community with an Open Day being held from 10am - 2pm on Sunday 31 August 2025.

Minister for Police, Fire and Emergency Services, Dr Marisa Paterson, is happy to see the benefits that the station is already providing the ACT community.
"The Acton station offers modern technology and improved amenities for staff, while also enhancing our ability to serve the ACT community, particularly residents and businesses in the Acton and city precinct.
"I hope to see the community at the open day, where they can see the stations features for themselves and learn a bit more about how ACTAS and ACTF&R serve the ACT."
