Additional charges laid after pot plants thrown at mounted police - Strike Force Seasoned

Strike Force Seasoned investigators have charged a man after he allegedly threw pot plants at mounted police officers during an unauthorised protest in the Sydney CBD last month.

As investigations by Strike Force Seasoned continue, officers executed a search warrant at a unit at Queenscliff just before 7.30am today (Tuesday 31 August 2021).

During the search, officers seized prohibited drugs including LSD (lysergic acid diethylamide), ketamine, cannabis and magic mushrooms (psilocybin).

A 19-year-old man was arrested and taken to Manly Police Station, where he was charged with riot, throw missile at police officer at public disorder (no actual bodily harm), not comply with noticed direction re s 7/8/9 - COVID-19, two counts of supply prohibited drug (indictable quantity) and two counts of possess prohibited drug.

Police will allege in court that the man threw pot plants at mounted police officers during an unauthorised protest in Sydney CBD last month.

He was refused bail to appear at Manly Local Court today.
