ADVICE TO THE PUBLIC:

FLOODING NO LONGER OCCURRING AT NITMILUK CENTRE

The river level along the Katherine River at Nitmiluk Centre fell below the minor flood level Friday afternoon.

The river levels across the Katherine River catchment will continue easing into the weekend and early part of next week.

Katherine River Gorge Road:

No further flooding is expected along the Katherine River at Nitmiluk Centre.

The Katherine River at Nitmiluk Centre is currently at 2.28 m and falling, below the minor flood level. The Katherine River at Nitmiluk Centre will continue to fall over in the next few days and will remain below the minor flood level (3.00 m).

Katherine Town:

No further flooding is expected along the Katherine River at Katherine Town. Elevated river levels are easing.

The Katherine River at Katherine Bridge is currently at 11.75 m and falling, below the minor flood level. The Katherine River at Katherine Bridge will continue to fall over the next few days and will remain below the minor flood level (16.00 m).
