AFLW returns to Casey Fields

The Melbourne Football Club (MFC) have their sights set on Casey Fields, with the Dees playing their first home again against the Brisbane Lions at 4.10 pm on Sunday 18 September.

The women's side have enjoyed three wins this season, beating the Adelaide Crows by 18 points, North Melbourne in a two-point thriller and St Kilda by 26 points.

Tickets to the game are $10 and can be purchased via Ticketmaster. Access for juniors (under 18) is free, however all attendees must redeem a ticket. Any junior without a pre-purchased $0 ticket will not be permitted access to the match.

Before the girls first AFLW home game of the season, why not make a day of it in the City of Casey. Check out the Archibald Prize at Bunjil Place, enjoy a meal or a coffee at one of our cafes, or explore the beautiful Cranbourne Botanic Gardens.

This AFLW season, Casey Fields will host the following games:

  • Round 4, Sunday 18 September, MFC v Brisbane Lions, 4.10 pm
  • Round 7, Sunday 9 October, MFC v Western Bulldogs, 3.10 pm
  • Round 9, Sunday 23 October, MFC v Essendon, 5.10 pm

AFL Victoria will also run its free Footy 4 Fun event before each AFLW home game at the Village Green Playspace, which is right next to the oval at Casey Field. There will be lots of games and activities on Sunday 18 September, 2.30 pm - 3.30 pm; Sunday 9 October, 1.30 pm - 2.30 pm; and Sunday 23 October, 3.30 pm - 4.30 pm. No previous skills are required, so come along and join in the fun.

The date, time and location for the final round of the AFLW season is still to be confirmed.
