AgForce Turns Brisbane Green To Celebrate National Ag Day And Support Mental Health

This National Ag Day, AgForce Queensland is bringing the bush to the city with a vibrant celebration at Cathedral Square on Thursday 20 November, showcasing how agriculture connects every Australian - from the paddock to the plate.

Visitors to the Cathedral Square Markets can enjoy free giveaways of seedlings, fruit, and sunflowers, take home a taste of the land, and meet the faces behind Queensland's farming communities. The event celebrates the people who produce our food and fibre and highlights the vital role agriculture plays in the lives of all Australians, whether they live in the bush or the suburbs.

Adding to the celebration, Brisbane will light up green in honour of National Ag Day - a glowing reminder that agriculture sustains us all and deserves recognition in every corner of the country.

This year also marks the exciting launch of AgForce's exclusive Trademutt x AgForce "Field Good Factor" workshirts, created in partnership with the social impact workwear brand TradeMutt. These shirts are designed not just to stand out, but to start conversations about mental health across rural and urban Australia.

Each shirt supports TIACS (This Is A Conversation Starter), a free and confidential counselling service for tradies, truckies, and rural workers. Through this initiative, AgForce is encouraging everyone - in the city and beyond - to wear their support for mental health proudly.

"National Ag Day is about connecting city and country - reminding us all how deeply agriculture touches our daily lives and that Every Family Needs a Farmer," said Shane McCarthy, AgForce General President. "This year's celebration also shines a light on the importance of mental health through our Field Good Factor partnership with Trademutt and TIACS."
