QUEENSLAND'S peak agricultural advocacy body, AgForce, has announced the outcome of a 100-day organisational review, outlining a strategic realignment that will prioritise member engagement, sharpen policy development and delivery, and ensure long-term operational sustainability.
Chief Executive Officer Niki Ford said the review, commissioned by the AgForce Board following her appointment, focused on ensuring the organisation remains a strong, effective and future-focused voice for Queensland producers.
"This review was about positioning AgForce to deliver even greater value for our members in a rapidly changing agricultural and policy environment," Ms Ford said.
"We have a proud history as a credible and influential advocate, and this realignment ensures we are structured to maintain that strength while deepening our connection with members on the ground."
Stronger focus on members
The organisational realignment will see a greater emphasis on face-to-face member engagement and regional connection, ensuring producer voices continue to inform AgForce's policy and advocacy priorities.
"We know our effectiveness depends on strong grassroots input," Ms Ford said.
"This structure enhances our ability to be present in regions, listen to members and translate their priorities into clear, coordinated policy."
Investing in capability and impact
As part of the changes, the organisation's required administrative positions will be downsized by four, other existing roles will be redeployed and three new roles created with a specific focus on:
- Industry development
- Commercial and member engagement
- Research and education
"We thank the people who are leaving the organisation for their service and effort in making AgForce the organisation it is," Ms Ford said.
"This decision was not made lightly, and it was in the absolute interest of serving our members in a constantly evolving space.
"The new roles enhance our ability to deliver informed, evidence-based advocacy and practical value back to members and industry.
"They will also help amplify our policy message to the wider community and smooth the lines of communication between our commodity groups to create a stronger, more influential and united advocacy position.
"This 100-day review was an important opportunity to reset, refocus and renew our organisation to ensure AgForce is best positioned to be the most trusted and powerful advocate for agriculture at a state and national level."
