Aggravated Armed Robbery - Ellendale, TAS

Two men have been charged over an aggravated armed robbery at Ellendale about 10pm on Wednesday 10 October 2018, Tasmania Police say.

Detective Sergeant Ben Duffey said that the armed robbery appears to be an isolated incident.

"The resident of the address attended the Royal Hobart Hospital and was treated for minor injuries," he said.

Members from Glenorchy and Bridgewater Criminal Investigation Branches conducted a number of preliminary investigations in relation the incident which coincided with a number of searches at private residences being conducted in the Glenorchy area.

A 34 year old Glenorchy man and a 36 year old Gretna man have been charged with aggravated armed robbery and will appear in the Hobart Magistrates Court today (Friday 12 October).

Police would like to hear from members of the public who have any information relating to this incident. Police are particularly interested if anyone saw three men in dark coloured clothing or saw a Red Holden Commodore acting suspiciously in the Ellendale and Karanga area on Thursday11 October 2018.
