Aggravated Assault - Alice Springs

Alice Springs Police have charged a 17-year-old male with one count of aggravated assault following the stabbing of a 30-year-old man last month.

It was reported that the man assaulted the victim on the bank of the Todd River on Leichardt Terrace, near the Alice Springs Library around 7:30pm on January 27, Northern Territory Police say.

The offender has been charged with one count each of:

  • Unlawful cause serious harm
  • Aggravated assault
  • Armed with a controlled weapon
  • Armed with an offensive weapon

He is scheduled to appear before the Alice Springs Local Court on February 16.
