Aggravated Assault At Tennant Creek 7 February

The Northern Territory Police Force is investigating following an aggravated assault that occurred in Tennant Creek early this morning.

Around 12am, police CCTV operators observed a female allegedly assault a male with an edged weapon on the Limonite Bridge.

Police and St John Ambulance attended the scene and located an 18-year-old male with injuries to his shoulder and abdomen. The victim was treated at the scene before being conveyed to Tennant Creek Hospital.

The female offender, believed to be known to the victim, fled the scene prior to police arrival and remains outstanding.

A crime scene was established, and investigations are ongoing.
