The Tasmanian Liberal Government is delivering unprecedented support for our booming agriculture sector which includes a new $3 million Agricultural Development Fund to drive sustainable growth and innovation.
The Agricultural Development Fund (ADF) supports projects that demonstrate active partnership with industry, a clear strategy to deliver on farm impacts and contribute to sustainable growth and jobs in agriculture.
Applications are now open for agricultural RD&E funding through the first round of the Agricultural Development Fund (ADF) and will close on Friday 10 September 2021.
The Tasmanian Government is committed to supporting Research, Development and Extension (RD&E) that delivers on-farm benefits as RD&E is essential to the ongoing competitiveness, productivity and sustainability of Tasmania’s agricultural industries.
As a guide, proponents may seek up to $1 million from the ADF for suitable projects that can be undertaken within a three-year timeframe.
Preference will be given to funding for projects that:
- help producers reduce emissions and adapt to and prepare for the impacts of climate change;
- assist agribusiness to identify, plan for and manage biosecurity risks;
- help industry address digital skill gaps and improve productivity; and
- respond rapidly to threats in order to minimise adverse impacts on the sector.
