Air rifle fired at three teens, man charged in Liverpool

A man will face court next month after allegedly firing an air rifle at three teenagers in Sydney’s south-west, NSW Police say.

It will be alleged three women, two aged 16 and one aged 17, were standing on the Hume Highway outside Woodward Park at Liverpool, about 5.30pm on Saturday 29 July 2017, when a white truck stopped next to the group.

Police have been told a man, allegedly armed with a firearm, fired shots through the open window of the truck, hitting the three teenagers before driving away.

Officers attached Liverpool Local Area Command attended and located a number of pellets.

The 17-year-old girl received a laceration to her face and swelling. The two 16-year-old teenagers were not injured during the incident.

Following inquiries, a 28-year-old man attended Liverpool Police Station about11.45am yesterday where he was charged with assault occasioning actual bodily harm, common assault and intimidation.

He was granted conditional bail to appear at Liverpool Local Court on Wednesday 16 August 2017
