All in details as police arrest two men in stolen car

Two men have been arrested after police identified a stolen vehicle in the Melbourne CBD on Saturday.

Public Order Response Team officers were patrolling on Flinders Street when they noticed a vehicle with licence plates that did not match the year model of the car about 4.30am.

The car was intercepted on Clarendon Street and checks revealed the vehicle to be stolen.

A 36-year-old Dallas man was arrested and charged with a string of offences including theft of motor vehicle, handle stolen goods and drive while suspended.

He was bailed to face Melbourne Magistrates Court on 15 July.

A 34-year-old Avondale Heights man was also arrested and is expected to be charged on summons with theft of motor vehicle.
