Alleged assault and robbery lead to two charged in Wauchope

Two women will face court next month after allegedly robbing and assaulting a man on the Mid North Coast, NSW Police say.

Police will allege in court a group of people entered a licensed premises on Oxley Highway, Wauchope, about 5.45pm on Wednesday 9 May 2018, and allegedly threatened a 28-year-old man before assaulting him.

The group allegedly demanded cash and other items before leaving.

NSW Ambulance paramedics treated the man at the scene for facial injuries.

Officers attached to Mid North Coast Police District commenced an investigation and about 5pm on Monday 14 May 2018, two women – both aged 18 – were arrested at Port Macquarie Police Station.

The pair were both charged with robbery in company and are due to appear at Port Macquarie Local Court on Wednesday 6 June 2018.

Inquiries are continuing.
