Alleged up-skirter arrested - Town Hall

A man has been charged after he was seen allegedly "up-skirting" women at a supermarket in the Sydney CBD yesterday.

Officers attached to Sydney City police Area Command were conducting proactive patrols of the Town Hall commercial precinct about 3.20pm (Sunday 26 January 2020), when they were alerted to a confrontation between a man and supermarket security staff.

Police were told a witness saw the man "up-skirting" a woman in the store and alerted security.

Police will allege when the man's phone was checked at least seven videos were found relating to women in the supermarket on the day.

A 37-year-old man was arrested and taken to Day Street Police Station where he was charged with film person's private parts without consent.

The man, from Hornsby, has been granted strict conditional bail to appear in Downing Centre Local Court on Wednesday 3 March 2020.
