Allens has advised SeaTown Master Fund (SeaTown), a multi-asset fund managed by SeaTown Holdings International Pte. Ltd., a Singapore-based investment manager, on its joint equity investment in one of Vietnam's largest retail platforms and supermarket chains The CrownX.
SeaTown, together with global private equity firm TPG and Abu Dhabi Investment Authority, have invested US$350 million in The CrownX, valuing the business at approximately US$8.2 billion post transaction.

'In 2021, The CrownX secured significant investment and financing, which is indicative of the continuing interest of foreign investors in the Vietnam retail sector.'
