Almost $1 million of cannabis seized, NSW

Police have seized 420 cannabis plants worth almost a million dollars from a home in the state’s north, NSW Police say.

About 5.45pm yesterday (Saturday 9 December 2017), police from Tweed/Byron Local Area Command executed a search warrant at a home in Commissioners Creek.

A sophisticated hydroponic set up was found in the home, including 420 cannabis, As well as a significant amount of fertilisers and hydroponic equipment.

Investigators estimate the crop has a street value of about $990,000.

No arrests have been made in relation to the warrant and inquiries continue.

Police are urging anyone with information in relation to this incident to call Crime Stoppers.
