Another man arrested over Geelong burglaries

Geelong Tasking and Crime Intervention Taskforce (TACIT) detectives have arrested a second man over a series of commercial burglaries and break-ins committed across the Geelong area from October this year.

A 35-year-old Herne Hill man was arrested today in Geelong.

He's been charged with burglary, theft, theft of a motor vehicle, handle stolen goods, criminal damage, along with traffic and drug offences.

Last week, a 30-year-old Bannockburn man was charged with similar offences after being investigated over burglaries at business premises in Geelong West, North Geelong, Winchelsea, Bannockburn and Lara.

Both men have been remanded to appear in Geelong Magistrates Court on 6 January 2020.

The investigation into the burglaries is ongoing.
