Officers from Strike Force Seasoned have made another arrest as they continue their inquiries into the unauthorised protest in the Sydney CBD last month.
Following inquiries and a public appeal, Strike Force Seasoned investigators, with assistance from the Public Order and Riot Squad, attended a home on Hoxton Park Road, Liverpool, about 2pm yesterday.
A 25-year-old man was arrested, and a search warrant was executed, where police seized clothing relevant to the investigation, prohibited drugs and anabolic steroids.
The man was taken to Liverpool Police Station and charged with riot, assault police officer during public disorder, two counts of not comply with noticed direction re s7/8/9 – COVID-19, supply prohibited drug and three counts of possess prescribed restricted substance.
Police will allege the man participated in the protest on Saturday 24 July 2021.
He was refused bail to appear before Liverpool Local Court today (Thursday 26 August 2021).
