Saturday 25 April is Anzac Day, a time to pause and honour the service and sacrifices of men and women in the armed forces.
There are several services being held in and around Stonnington.
Shrine of Remembrance
The Melbourne Dawn Service at the Shrine of Remembrance will take place on Saturday 25 April from 5.30am - 6.30am. Following the service, visitors are invited to place a poppy at the Stone of Remembrance inside the monument. No bookings required.
The Veterans' March commences at Swanston Street at 9am, with a wreath-laying ceremony at the Shrine of Remembrance taking place at 12pm.
RSL Victoria will provide a livestream of both the Dawn Service and March on the RSVL Victoria Facebook page.
The ABC coverage of Anzac Day services and events will feature across ABC Radio, ABC listen, ABC TV, ABC iview and online.
Local ANZAC Day activities
Prahran RSL will be holding a service on Sunday 19 April at 10.30am - 12pm at Victoria Gardens, 361 High Street, Prahran. Refreshments will be provided following the service at Prahran RSL, 301 High St, Prahran.
East Malvern RSL will host a Dawn Service on Saturday 25 April, from 6am - 7.30am. A Gunfire Breakfast will be available after the service with a gold coin donation at East Malvern RSL, Stanley Grose Dr, Malvern East.
