Appeal after break and enter in Sydney City

Police are appealing for public assistance as the investigation continues into an alleged break and enter in Sydney City earlier this month.

Just after 12am on Thursday 3 March 2022, a man allegedly forced entry through a fire escape of a pharmacy on Pitt Street, Sydney.

The man remained inside the pharmacy for almost an hour and a half before allegedly stealing two safes containing a large amount of prescription medication and over $7,000 in cash.

As inquiries continue, police have released CCTV footage of a man they believe may be able to assist with inquiries.

The man depicted in the footage is described as male, wearing a black cap, hi-vis yellow t-shirt worn over a long black sleeve jumper, navy blue jeans and black shoes. He is shown carrying a plastic bag and a black backpack with white vertical lines down the middle.
