Appeal After Ram Raid - Greystanes

An investigation is underway following a ram raid in Sydney's southwest this morning.

Shortly after 4.20am today (Friday 15 March 2024), police were called to a shopping centre on Merrylands Road, Greystanes, after reports of a break and enter.

Officers from Cumberland Police Area Command attended and commenced inquiries.

CCTV depicts a vehicle ramming through the glass entry doors of the shopping centre, before ramming the vehicle into an automated teller machine several times.

Four men are seen on CCTV near the ATM for a brief time, before fleeing in the vehicle, while another vehicle follows closely behind.

Both vehicles – two white vans – had stolen number plates attached to each vehicle. The plates were stolen from addresses in Fairfield and Guildford West.

A crime scene was established which has been examined by specialist forensic officers.

Detectives are investigating the circumstances surrounding the incident and are appealing for anyone who may be able to identify the persons or vehicles involved to contact Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
