Appeal after ram raids and break-in, NSW

Police are appealing for assistance after two ram-raids and a break and enter in Bathurst and Blayney, which police believe are linked.

About 1.45am today, a Toyota Landcruiser drove through the windows of a supermarket at a shopping centre on Wark Parade, Bathurst, NSW Police say.

Two male offenders attempted to steal an ATM from the premises, but were unable. They fled the scene in the vehicle.

A short time later, a similar vehicle was involved in a break and enter at a car wash on Radburn Street, Blayney, during which a money collection box was stolen.

The same vehicle was then involved in a ram raid at a hardware outlet on Burns Street, Blayney, during which 11 chainsaws were stolen.

The vehicle involved in all incidents, a white 1991 Toyota Landcruiser, with New South Wales registration WKR782, was stolen from Newbridge Street, Blayney sometime after 10pm yesterday.

The vehicle has not yet been recovered.

Police are urging anyone with information in relation to this incident to call Crime Stopers.
