Appeal after single-vehicle crash near Inverell

Police are appealing for information or dash cam footage following a single-vehicle crash near Inverell this afternoon.

Just before 2pm (Wednesday 23 March 2022), emergency services were called to Delungra Road, Bingara – about 60km west of Inverell – following reports a truck containing produce left the roadway before hitting a number of trees and rolling onto its side.

The driver and only occupant – a 66-year-old man – was treated at the scene by NSW Ambulance paramedics, before being airlifted to Tamworth Hospital, where he remains in a stable condition.

Officers from New England Police District attended and commenced investigations into the circumstances surrounding the crash.

As inquiries continue, police are appealing for anyone with information or dash cam footage to come forward and contact Bingara Police Station or Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
