Appeal as police probe after teen approached in Chatswood

Police are appealing for information after a teenager was approached in Chatswood yesterday, NSW Police say.

About 6.30am (Wednesday 14 March 2018), a 17-year-old girl was walking east along Centennial Avenue, Chatswood, when she observed a white or silver SUV with a man in it.

The man exited the car and attempted to grab the girl on the shoulders.

The man got back into his vehicle and fled the area. The girl was uninjured.

Officers from North Shore Police Area Command have commenced inquiries and would like to speak to a man that may assist.

He is described as being of Asian appearance, of slim build, aged 35 to 45 years-old, about 170cm tall with short black hair.

He was last seen wearing a grey hooded jumper and black trousers.

Anyone with information is urged to contact police via Crime Stoppers.
