Appeal find man missing from Lakemba

Police are appealing for public assistance to find a man reported missing from Lakemba.

Mr Mahmoud Ziaee, aged 70, was last seen at an aged-care facility on Yerrick Road about 1.30pm yesterday (Monday 4 July 2022).

Officers from Campsie Police Area Command were contacted and have commenced an investigation into his whereabouts.

Police hold concerns for Mr Ziaee's welfare as he lives with a number of medical conditions requiring medication, as well as dementia.

Mr Ziaee is described as being of Mediterranean/Middle Eastern appearance, about 160cm tall with a medium build. He has greying black hair and brown eyes. When last seen he was wearing grey trousers and a blue jumper.

Mr Ziaee does not have connections to any particular place but previously lived in the Redfern area.

Mr Ziaee may appear confused or disoriented.
