Appeal for dashcam after pedestrian hit - Rose Bay

Police are appealing to the public for assistance after a pedestrian was hit by a car Sydney's eastern suburbs yesterday.

About 9.40am (Thursday 3 September 2020), emergency services were called to the corner of Newcastle Street and New South Head Road, Rose Bay, after a 69-year-old man was hit by a white Jeep Grand Cherokee wagon.

He was taken to St Vincent's Hospital with serious head and leg injuries.

The Jeep driver, a 23-year-old man, was also taken to St Vincent's Hospital for mandatory blood and urine testing.

Officers from Eastern Suburbs Police Area Command established a crime scene and commenced inquiries.

As part of their inquiries, police are also keen to speak with anyone who witnessed the incident or might have video or dashcam footage of the incident to contact Crime Stoppers.
