Appeal for dashcam footage after man stabbed in road-rage incident at Guildford

Police are appealing for dashcam footage after a man was stabbed during a suspected road-rage incident in Sydney's west yesterday.

Police have been told a Toyota Starlet was being driven north on Woodville Road, Guildford, when it was cut off by a white Toyota Hilux WorkMate, at about 4pm (Sunday 29 August 2021).

The male driver of the Hilux exited the vehicle and approached the Starlet, confronting a 19-year-old man in the front passenger seat.

The unknown man has allegedly produced a small knife and stabbed the other man in the arm.

The man then returned to the Hilux before driving into Oxford Street.

The driver of the Starlet, a 20-year-old man, was not hurt in the incident. He drove the 19-year-old man to Westmead Hospital for treatment of a stab wound to his right bicep.

Officers from Cumberland Police Area Command were alerted and have commenced an investigation into the circumstances surrounding the incident.
