Police are appealing for public assistance after a man was found seriously injured in the state’s northwest today, NSW Police say.
About 11.45am (Friday 30 March 2018), police have been told a man was hit by a vehicle on Three Mile Road, Lightning Ridge.
On arrival, emergency services found a man, believed to be aged in his 60s, with serious head and pelvic injuries.
He was taken to Lightning Ridge Hospital in a critical condition. He has now been airlifted to St George Hospital.
Officers from Central North Police District established a crime scene and are investigating the circumstances surrounding the man’s injuries.
Anyone with information is urged to come forward.
