Appeal for info after man found seriously injured on roadway in Lismore

Police are appealing for public assistance after a man was found seriously injured on the roadway in Lismore, NSW Police say.

About 5.40am (Monday 5 November 2018), officers from Richmond Police District were called to Shearman Drive, Goonellabah, after reports a man was found lying unconscious on the roadway.

Upon arrival, police found a 49-year-old Goonellabah man with facial and head injuries.

He was treated at the scene by NSW Ambulance paramedics before being taken to Lismore Base Hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. He has since been transferred to Gold Coast Hospital.

The cause of the man’s injuries is not known.

As inquiries continue, anyone who was in the vicinity, or has dash cam vision is urged to contact local police.
