Appeal for information after aggravated break-in in Blackett

Police are appealing for information after an aggravated break-in at Blackett overnight.

About 9.15pm (Sunday 27 January 2019) three unknown men have forced entry into a home on Casey Place, Blackett.

One of the men was allegedly armed with a metal pole.

Once inside the home they allegedly assaulted the occupants, a 40-year-old man and a 73-year-old woman, before fleeing the scene on foot with property stolen from the home.

The occupants were treated at the scene by NSW Ambulance paramedics before being taken to Nepean Hospital for treatment.

Officers from Mount Druitt Police Area Command established a crime scene and have commenced investigations.

As inquiries continue, anyone with information is urged to come forward.
