Appeal for information over indecent assaults, attempted robbery in Bonnyrigg

Police are appealing for public assistance following two indecent assaults and an attempted armed robbery in a park in Sydney’s south west over the past month, NSW Police say.

About 3.30pm on Sunday 8 October 2017, police have been told a 14-year-old girl was approached a man on a bicycle in a reserve in Lalich Avenue, Bonnyrigg, before he indecently assaulted her.

About 5pm on Saturday 4 November 2017, a 48-year-old woman was cycling through a park near Hamel Road, Mount Pritchard, when she was indecently assaulted by a man on a bicycle.

In the same reserve, a man armed with a knife threatened a 14-year-old boy before fleeing on a bicycle just after 8pm on Saturday 4 November 2017.

No one was injured in all of these incidents.

Police attached to Fairfield Local Area Command launched an investigation.

Investigators wish to speak with a man who may be able to assist with their inquiries.

He has been described as being of Mediterranean/Middle Eastern appearance, aged in his 40s, with a medium build.

Anyone with information is urged to come forward.

Police are urging anyone with information in relation to this incident to call Crime Stoppers.
