Appeal for man after road rage incident - Ultimo

Police are appealing for information after a woman was assaulted in a road rage incident in Sydney's CBD last week.

About 1.45pm and Sunday 14 February 2021, police were called to Wattle Street, Ultimo, following reports a woman had been assaulted.

Police have been told the woman was crossing a road when the driver of a black SUV beeped the horn and verbally abused the women.

It is further alleged the man followed her into a nearby café where he physically assaulted her before throwing her bike into the street and smashing her mobile phone.

During the incident, the 37-year-old woman sustained minor injuries to her wrists and hands.

Officers from Sydney City Police Area Command commenced an investigation into the circumstances surrounding the incident.

As inquiries continue, police are appealing for any witnesses to come forward.
