Two people have been seriously injured after a collision at Mascot overnight.
About 10.55pm yesterday (Wednesday 24 March 2021), emergency services were called to Southern Cross Drive, Mascot, following reports that two motorcycles collided, causing a person to fall onto the road.
The 22-year-old man was then struck by another motorcycle travelling behind.
Officers from South Sydney Police Area Command attended and established a crime scene, which was examined by investigators from the Crash Investigation Unit.
The man and a 29-year-old woman were treated at the scene by NSW Ambulance paramedics before being conveyed to St George Hospital in a serious but stable condition.
At least one of the involved motorcycles left the scene prior to police arriving.
The injured were riding in a group with about 30 other motorcyclists.
