Appeal for witnesses after man shot in Armidale

Police are appealing for witnesses after a man was shot in the thigh in the state’s north yesterday, NSW Police say.

About 2am (Thursday 11 October 2018), a 24-year-old man was walking along Niagara Street, Armidale, when he was approached by two men.

Police have been told that one of the men shot the 24-year-old in the thigh, before fleeing the scene.

The man attended a service station on Queen Elizabeth Drive, where emergency services were contacted.

He was taken to Armidale hospital to be treated for a gunshot wound, and is in a stable condition.
