Melbourne Crime Investigation Unit detectives are appealing for public assistance after two men evaded police in Melbourne’s CBD yesterday, Victoria Police say.
Police attempted to intercept a white stolen Mitsubishi Express van on King Street when the driver failed to stop about 8.30am.
The vehicle continued to drive along King Street and then east along Little Lonsdale Street where the vehicle drove onto the footpath just before Williams Street
No one was injured and the vehicle was abandoned in Queen Street.
Two males fled the scene and police seized the van which contained a stolen motorcycle.
Detectives are keen to speak to any witnesses that were in Little Lonsdale Street at the time of the incident.
