Appeal for witnesses following Thomastown fatal collision

Major Collision Investigation Unit (MCIU) detectives are appealing for witnesses following a fatal collision that claimed the life of an 18-year-old man in Thomastown last night, Victoria Police say.

Police have been told a black Holden Astra sedan was travelling north on Dalton Road when it collided with a Pajero turning right into Spencer Street about 6.30pm.

A Thomastown man who was a passenger in the Astra died at the scene.

Three other occupants of the Astra were taken to hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

Two occupants of the Pajero were also taken to hospital for treatment.

Investigators are keen to speak to anyone that may have witnessed the black Holden Astra traveling north along Dalton Road prior to the collision.

Anyone who witnessed the collision is urged to contact Crime Stoppers.
