Appeal to identify woman found in Annandale

Police are appealing for public assistance to identify a woman found in Sydney's Inner West this morning.

Officers attached to Leichhardt Police Area Command were notified an unidentified female was found walking on the corner of Chapman Road and The Crescent, Annandale, about 8am today (Wednesday 14 September 2022).

The woman was taken to Royal Prince Alfred Hospital where she remains in the care of hospital staff.

Despite extensive inquiries, police have not been able to identify her and are appealing for public assistance.

She is described as being of Asian appearance, between 17 and 25 years of age, about 165cm tall, with mid length dark hair and brown eyes.

She was wearing blue pyjamas with white spots and carrying a plastic bag full of mail and phone cases.

The woman is non-verbal.
