Police are appealing for public assistance to locate a prisoner who escaped while participating in a community project in the Illawarra.
Sunjay Dayal, aged 35, was reported missing about 12pm today (Wednesday 17 July 2019).
Mr Dayal is described as being of Indian Sub-Continental appearance, 170cm tall, of thin build with black hair and brown eyes.
Police are warning members of the public not to approach the man, but to instead call Triple Zero (000) immediately.
