Appeal to locate missing man - Eastlakes

Police are appealing for public assistance to locate a man reported missing south of Sydney.

Miko Salopek, aged 82, was last seen at his residence on Florence Avenue, Eastlakes, about 12.15pm yesterday (Tuesday 10 March 2020).

When he failed to return home around 9.30pm, his family reported him missing to police.

Officers attached to South Sydney Police Area Command have commenced an investigation and are appealing for public assistance to locate him.

Mr Salopek is described as being of Caucasian appearance, about 175 cm tall, with a thin build, bald with white small amount of grey hair and dark brown eyes. He has a European accent and may be walking with a cane.

He was last seen wearing a blue and beige checked shirt, beige shorts, sneakers and a green cap with white writing.

His family hold concerns for his welfare due to his age and his need for regular medication.

Mr Salopek is known to visit the golf courses around Eastlakes as well as Centennial Park.
