Council understands that some households may be concerned about moving to a fortnightly general waste collection.
Residents are encouraged to begin using the new three-bin service and make full use of the food and garden organics and recycling bins before deciding whether additional general waste capacity is required.
Applications for additional general waste bins will open on 1 February 2027.
Households with specific circumstances that generate additional waste, including some medical situations, are encouraged to contact Council on (03) 5027 5027 to discuss their circumstances.
