Applications For Venue Hire Grants 2025-2026 Now Open

Georges River Council

Georges River Council is delighted to announce that applications for Venue Hire Grants 2025-2026 are now open. These grants are provided as in-kind support to subsidise the cost of hiring council venues to support community connection.

Council is always seeking to provide greater accessibility and clarity when applying for grants. This round will offer Grant Guidelines and a Cheat Sheet translated into Easy Read and Cantonese/Mandarin for increased ease of access for culturally and linguistically diverse (CALD) communities.

The Council's Community Capacity Building Team will host Information Sessions to support grant applications. These sessions will provide an opportunity for the community to learn more about Venue Hire Grants by focusing on the new Grant Guidelines and the grant application process.

To facilitate greater access and understanding of the current round to CALD communities, Council will be offering two CALD-specific information sessions. One of these information sessions will be bilingual, with an interpreter present for Cantonese/Mandarin speaking communities.

Georges River Mayor Elise Borg said, "Council is committed to supporting our vibrant community by providing accessible and affordable venues for community organisations.

"The launch of CALD-specific Information Sessions, Grant Guidelines and a Cheat Sheet will facilitate greater community engagement in our Venue Hire Grants for this round.

"I encourage all community organisations to attend our information sessions and apply for these grants to use our spaces for your next event, activity or gathering."

Grant applications will be open from Monday 21 April 2025 for venue hire from 1 July 2025 to 30 June 2026.
