Applications now open for regular hire of community facilities for 2021

As COVID-19 restrictions continue to ease, we're pleased to announce that applications for regular hire bookings for our community facilities for Term 1 and 2 in 2021 (between 25 January and 30 June 2021) are now open. Applications will close Sunday 13 December 2020.

Application changes due to COVID-19

You may notice a few changes to our application process this year as new Victorian Government requirements mean that we have made changes to how we operate, including:

  • a reduction in venues and spaces available for hire (available venues can be found in our Regular Hire Application Package Document)
  • a reduction in space capacity limits and group sizes
  • the prioritisation of Council's COVID-19 support services, core functions and Council-funded initiatives use of spaces
  • increased requirements on hirers to support COVID-safe operations.

Due to the current restrictions, the application period will only be for the first six months of 2021 to support fair and transparent allocation of space as restrictions ease over the new year. Assessment of all hire applications will be conducted in accordance with the Community Access and Allocation Policy.
