Applications are open for the Council on Australia Latin America Relations (COALAR) Grant Round for 2021–2022.

Grants support individuals and organisations in Australia and Latin America to develop and deliver projects that strengthen links across business, education, tourism and cultural promotion.

Grants to support Australia-Latin America relations

Do you have an innovative idea to strengthen links between Australia and Latin America? Does your idea advance sustainability across business, education, tourism and cultural promotion?

Turn your idea into reality and apply for a COALAR grant.

COALAR grants support individuals and organisations in Australia and Latin America to develop and deliver projects that:

  • are creative and innovative.
  • benefit communities.
  • reflect a broad range of interests.
  • support diversity.
  • deliver long-term impact.

Projects that promote economic network activities, especially with a focus on sustainability, are encouraged. Projects may commence from 1 March 2022 and will need to be completed by 23 February 2023.

Due to COVID-19 restrictions, projects must use online, virtual or other remote means to engage people and promote collaboration between Australia and Latin America.

Apply before 10 September 2021

You can apply for a COALAR grant using the SmartyGrants link on the COALAR website. Applications close at 1600 AEST Friday 10 September 2021.
