A National Police Certificate (NPC) conducted directly by the Queensland Police Service (QPS) is commonly issued for employment, study or overseas travel.
You may be aware that these are available over-the-counter at Australia Post offices, however, this service is also available online and is much faster.
You can apply either way, but applying online may save you time.
The majority of online applications through QPS are completed and returned electronically within 15 minutes in instances where there are no potential criminal history matches.

You may see other online 'police certificates' or 'police checks', but this is the only one issued by the QPS.
Secure identity verification online is through 'Digital iD'. This service has been formally accredited by the Australian Government's Digital Transformation Agency as a trusted identity service provider under the Trusted Digital Identity Framework.
