Mr Jim Bamber has been appointed as Chief Executive Officer of the Department of Local Government, Housing and Community Development, effective from 23 March 2020.
A Territorian with many years of experience as a senior executive in the NT Public Service and having acted in the position since November 2019, Mr Bamber brings a wealth of experience and knowledge to the role.
This appointment comes at a time when the Territory's most vulnerable communities need certainty and consistency across local government, housing and community development.
I have full confidence Mr Bamber will continue to ensure the delivery of crucial portfolio services throughout the Northern Territory with a particular focus on the management and development of our remote housing program.
