Ararat Gallery TAMA Launches Analog Art Club

Ararat Gallery TAMA has joined an all-new initiative aimed at encouraging more people to disconnect from their screens and reconnect with their local community.

Analog Art Club is a statewide initiative of Public Galleries Association of Victoria (PGAV) and ArtsHub that invites Victorians to slow down and connect in real life through art.

This program encourages deeper connection with both art and community by fostering genuine, screen-free engagement in a relaxed and inclusive environment.

Hosted by galleries across Victoria, these phone-free events offer a welcoming space to reflect, discuss and experience art together, making creativity social, accessible and refreshingly analog.

Community members will have the opportunity to spend time in the current Ararat Gallery TAMA exhibitions, engaging in guided intentional slow looking exercises, including conversational prompts or observational drawing.

This is a free event, with bookings requested to help plan seating via the Ararat Gallery TAMA website.

Session dates and times:

• Saturday 9th August, 2pm - 3.30pm

• Saturday 13th September, 2pm - 3.30pm

• Saturday 11th October, 2pm - 3.30pm

• Saturday 8th November, 2pm - 3.30pm

"In today's fast-paced, digital world, it's easy to lose sight of the simple joy of truly experiencing something without distraction," says Ararat Rural City Council Mayor, Cr Jo Armstrong.

"This initiative provides the community with a welcoming space to reflect, discuss, and experience art together. It's about making creativity social, accessible, and refreshingly analog."
