Armed crime squad detectives appeal for information following shooting

Armed Crime Squad detectives are appealing for public assistance after a man suffering gunshot wounds presented at a hospital in Epping this morning, Victoria Police say.

Police have been told a 37-year-old man drove himself to the hospital about 1.20am suffering from a number of gunshot wounds to his upper body.

He was driving a blue Holden Commodore sedan and investigators are keen to speak to anyone that may have seen the vehicle driving erratically in the north-western suburbs early this morning.

The scene of the shooting has not yet been established and detectives are appealing for anyone that may have heard gunshots or witnessed the incident to come forward.

The man remains in a critical but stable condition.
