Armed robbery and assault in Sunnybank, QLD

Police are seeking public assistance to identify two men following an armed robbery in Sunnybank, last night, Queensland Police say.

Just before 9.00pm two men entered a Mains Road supermarket, selected groceries and were challenged by a 36-year-old female staff member when they were leaving the store without paying.

The men threatened that woman with a knife and they fled on foot with the items.

A 32-year-old male staff member from another business followed the two men and challenged them.  The two men assaulted the 32-year-old causing bruising to his face.

The two men fled with the property.

The 32-year-old was treated by QAS for his injuries.

Police would welcome any information relating to the two men.
