Armed Robbery Appeal, Allenstown 20 August

Police are appealing for information following an armed robbery in Allenstown on Tuesday 19 August.

At approximately 1am, a man produced a knife and demanded money from a 48-year-old male employee of a Gladstone Road hotel after initially claiming to be a guest.

The employee handed over a sum of money before retreating into a locked room.

The offender then left the scene on foot.

The 48-year-old man was uninjured.

The offender is described as Caucasian, approximately 19 to 21 years old, 170 to 175cm tall with short black hair, and was last seen wearing a black puffer jacket, long black pants, and black and white shoes.

Investigators are appealing for anyone with information, CCTV or dashcam footage along Gladstone Road between 12am to 2am to contact police.
