Armed robbery appeal in North Wollongong

Police have released CCTV footage and are appealing for public assistance to locate two women who might be able to assist with inquiries into an armed robbery, NSW Police say.

About 8.20pm on Sunday 29 July 2018, a 23-year-old man was walking down Hillview Avenue, Gwynneville when he was allegedly robbed at knife-point.

The man’s backpack was stolen which contained his wallet and credit card.

It will be alleged the credit card from the man’s wallet was used to fraudulently purchase items at a convenience store by two females, about 8.40pm that night.

The first woman is depicted as Caucasian appearance, solid build, about 165cm tall, with dark brown hair.

The second woman is depicted as Caucasian appearance, slim build, about 150cm tall with dark brown hair.

Both women are believed to be in their late teens or early twenties.

Police are urging anyone with information about the incident to contact Crime Stoppers.
